Village of Walbridge Record of Proceedings of May 21, 2013

Mayor Kolanko called the Special meeting to order at 8:30am on Tuesday, May 21, 2013.  The meeting opened with the Pledge of Allegiance. Mayor Kolanko asked for roll call of Council, Ms. Sawaya, Ms. Hart-Douglas, Mr. Sloyer, Mr. Gilsdorf and Mr. Liwo were present.

NEW BUSINESS/ORDINANCES

Mayor Kolanko stated the only item on the agenda is the appointment to the open Council seat so he  turned the floor over to the President of Council Jan Sawaya.

Ms. Sawaya asked Council if there are any nominations for the open Council seat.

Mr. Sloyer stated he would like to nominate Lauren LaRoe. Ms. Hart-Douglas seconded the motion. Mr. Gilsdorf stated he wanted to make a nomination also. Mayor Kolanko stated we can not have two open motions on the floor at the same time. We can have a discussion on the current motion and then it must be voted up or down before a second motion can be brought forward to Council. Mayor Kolanko asked for Roll call on  the motion. All ayes. Motion carried.

Mayor Kolanko congratulated Ms. LaRoe on the appointment to Walbridge Council.

Mayor Kolanko proceeded to swear in Ms. LaRoe with the Oath of Office.

Mr. Liwo made a motion to adjourn. Mr. Sloyer seconded the motion. Meeting adjourned at  8:34am
