The Village of Walbridge is located in Northeast Wood County, in Northwest Ohio. The U.S. Census of 2000 listed the population as 2,546 but that number has grown to approximately 3000 with the annexation of two mobile home parks on the north end of the Village.

Conveniently located alongside Interstate-280 just four miles north of Gate 5 of the Ohio Turnpike, Walbridge residents enjoy easy and quick access to all points of the Midwest. Toledo is just five miles to the north and Detroit is 60 miles up the road. The transportation hub of the Midwest is situated in the area of I-280, the Ohio Turnpike, and Interstate-75, which is just a few miles to the west of our community. Cleveland is 105 miles to the east and Chicago is 235 miles to the west. The Ohio state capitol, Columbus, is 120 miles to the south.

Walbridge residents relish the quiet, safe, and secure quality of life they find here. Being in close proximity to the City of Toledo, Walbridge residents can enjoy baseball at the new downtown Mud Hens Stadium, the Warehouse District, the fine restaurants along the Maumee River at the Docks, as well as, the Toledo Zoo, the Toledo Museum of Art and the Toledo Walleye team. More events are held at the Huntington Center. Likewise, the University of Toledo, Bowling Green State University, Lourdes College, and Owens Community College are just a short distance from the community.
